1st time for Seafoam
#41
I added a bit of SeaFoam to a friend's RK a while back and when she took it in to the dealer for service she mentioned it to them. Lord have mercy, they made her believe I had all but ruined her bike by putting that mess in there. I've used it in my car and SUV and I like the stuff. I guess if it doesn't say HD on the label the dealer says poo-poo on it!!!

The gas gage on my wife’s Cadillac would go crazy - something was stuck in the sending unit - I took the car to my indy and he pulled the tank and replaced the sending unit - 950 bucks later problem solved - dealer wanted 1,500 buck -
One year later my Corvette fuel gauge was doing the same thing - bells ringing etc. I went to the Corvette Forum - this turns out to be a common problem - I was told to add a can of Seafoam - plus fill the tank up with Chevron premium & drive the car - I burned 1/2 a tank and my problem was solved -
So yeah - I’m a believer in Seafoam - tom

Here's my story, and it's to be continued....
02 Ultra with an idle issue. It's a new bike to me, and I'm just getting back into riding after having been off for almost 2 years.
My bike has been cutting out on me when I slow or stop at an intersection, but it was sometimes intermittent, too. Enough to drive me a bit crazy, and sap my confidence in actually riding the bike. Dropped it a time or two, as well, because of the idle issue.
Just yesterday, I pulled the TPS off and inspected it. Nothing going on there, really....and it wasn't even all that dirty. Put it back on and that was that.
I had already put about a 1/4th of a can of Seafoam into the tank and got on it and took off. Died on me one time, about a mile from the house, and then it's transformation was pretty magical. Seemed to run smoother, and never died again. Road it around town for over an hour, stoplights, stop and go, etc. NEVER died on me once. Went home, ate dinner, and got out on it again.....for the same amount of time, in the same kind of traffic. Ran like a champ. Idle never dipped below 1000rpm.
You be the judge.....
Me? I'm standing behind the Seafoam.
