Default Riders Backrest for the Ultra

I want to get a riders backrest for my Ultra, Is it worth the price difference to get the power adjustable type.

I know of cable adjustable. didn't know about powered. I have one, I leave mine in one position all the time so the extra for the adustable was wasted.

I have the adjustable one with the gas shock and I like it. On the long hauls, it's nice to have the adjustability to put me in different positions.

I installed the Utopia backrest on my Ultra. It is great. Very easy to install. Doesn't have any power adjustment, but it works great without it.

For me it would be money wasted. I went with the non-cable adjustable one. I installed it, moved it once and has been fine ever since.

I have the Harley gas adjustable one and love it. I do adjust it sometimes depending on the type of riding I am doing and the type of jacket I am wearing, so that feature comes in handy.

I have the plain jane back rest, no cable.

WhenI went to buy it, the parts guy at HD told me buy the cheaper one, he had used the cable adjustable one and really never used the adjustment.

Mine has three height adjustments, and the tilt is adjusted by a setscrewwith anallen wrench.

Saved a Hundred bucks and works fine.

I had a Utopia backrest on a Yamaha Venture and loved it, but it seems my Ultra has a little less room front to back for rider and passenger. Im thinking the backrest would seriously cramp her. Basically she's my backrest when we're two up. Anybody out there have the same impression?
