I am looking for a luggage rack (H-D or aftermarket) --not a tour pack mount-- that DOES NOT include a passenger backrest/sissybar -- to be mounted on a 2005 FLHT. I had an old-style flat channel rack on a 1989 FLHS, but the similar rack in the current H-D accessories catalog includes a backrest mount. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

I am not sure what you are looking for but the Harley detachable works with or with out sissy bar.

I installed the HD 4-channel luggage rack and then took the passenger upright off. (only 2 bolts) Sorry, but I don't have an online pic yet, but I think it looks really sleek. Just my 2 cents.

 

Thanks for the information about the 4 channel rack. When I looked at the catalog, I thought the backrest support was welded to the rack. This sounds like what I was looking for.

 

they make one out of round stock, and its detachable. looks great.
