Default Independent Control Auxiliary Lamp Wire Harness Kit

Wire harness kit for 2011 Ultra Classic.
I purchased this item & looking at the instructions, looked like a simple install. After dicking with fairing for way too long, I finally had enough room to do the install. The instruction sheet shows the otiginal harness on the lower left of the inner fairing. NOT THERE. I tried every wire harness connection & none of them seemed to fit. Any idea where it goes??

As you are sitting on the bike, right side under the ignition switch housing. On my 2012 it took some firm fishing, but it was there. And, no I didn't remove the fairing. Hope this helps.

Hey, I know where it goes - Back to the dealer!
I bought one a few months back, the instructions were way off, wire colors were wrong, and referenced pulling the wire off the back of the switch which was wrong, enough! Returned it to the dealer, explained it to the guy at the counter, who had a smirk the whole time. When I finished, he said "Your'e the third one today returning those things".
Do yourself a favor, save some money too, return that piece of junk and just do the mod inside the nacelle. Search, it's in the forum. Lights on and off by the switch when you want 'em, plain and simple.
That harness might fit something, but it sure was not my '11 RKC.

Facing the front of bike, left of radio. May be reached by turning handlebars full lock left, reach under fairing and follow wires from lower dash switches to a 12pt plug that looks just like the plugs on harness in your hand. Mine was buried so deep had take outer fairing off. Very straight forward.

I took the batwing off and found the connection right away. You can just cut a wire or two, but for me I liked the clean/ plug and play. With all the other crap I buy for the bike, 30 dollars didn't seem bad. Plus I have already moved it from my 2009 to my new 2012.

Be Safe JIM
