Default Fairing Lowers vs Fork Deflectors

I have fork deflectors on my SG. I've been looking at fairing lowers and thinking about putting them on my bike to get a little more protection on my lower legs at highway speeds. Does anyone have an real world experience and can comment on switching from deflectors to lowers - any pros and cons. thanks.

I don't , sorry, but I'm curious what you think about the deflectors. Did the help with the air that comes up from under the fairing? What brand did you go with? Satisfied?

I like them. Between the deflectors and batwings pretty much eliminated the buffetting I was getting. Plus I got the gloss black ones and like the look. There are only a couple of people making them for the SG. I got mine from street-glide.com

The lowers will kick up more air over the tank. In the fall of the year, having both lowers and deflectors will make a huge difference.

If I'm understanding your response, the lowers actually make the air coming up over the tank worse?

Thanks for the answers on the deflectors. Looked at Street-glide.com. Think they are kind of pricey. Think I might borrow my buds brake and see if I can make myself up a set. $69 ain't a bad price, but I would want flat black and for some reason flat black cost $30 more...wtf. Maybe I'll just buy the gloss ones and plastidip them black.

It doesn't seem to me you can have both. The lowers interfere with the deflectors don't they?

I installed fork air deflectors on my 2010 Limited that came with lowers on it two years ago.
I keep them both all year long. They work great together especially in the rain.
