411: Custom Dynamics Plasma Rods install - 2012 FLHX
#12
I was using CD turns, front and back, with a load equalizer and an ARC mini on my 07 and did not have any interference issues.

From what I was told by CD...you can't do all "three" with the 09 wiring (run/brake only). Maybe there's another way/option with different vendor or parts, but I had to settle with run/brake only.

Its by some guy named Iceman24... you may have heard of him!
I'll see if I can get get another comment from CD & make sure they haven't come up with a work around for Run/Brake/Turn on the '09. For now, sadly, it doesn't look good.

Called Karen at CD. Starting from scratch, you would need:
1) GEN200-KIT ; this is the 1157/1156 led conversion kit. at checkout you would choose the GEN-HD stabilizer and add the Smart Triple Play module to give you Run/Turn/Brake operation on your bullet lights.
2) Plasma Rods (8 inch for non CVO). No converters needed as long as you have the Triple Play module installed. Tap red plasma wire into your turn signal positive and the black wire to ground. Done.
Call Karen if you're interested. She can set you right up!

well RATS!!... I need one more tool!
Lights arrived today and I happily started in with my writeup on the bullet light conversion, taking plenty of notes and photos. Everything was going great - piece of cake - until I got to the very last step of connecting the signal stabilizer terminals to the battery. All I need is a T40 torx bit to remove the battery cover screws. Yep, just one little T40 bit... the one I shattered a few months ago and haven't replaced. Went to my tools and picked that sucker up... I had to laugh!
Idiot!
The good news is that LED conversion really is pretty easy. There are a few tips I will recommend that aren't covered in the sparse instructions supplied with the parts, but you could probably get through it with a little common sense... and a T40 bit. LOL
Haven't started the Plasma rods, but it looks pretty simple. Full write ups are in the works.
