For those of you that have gotten new tyres and gotten away from the stock Dunlop models what are you running on the front 18" wheel to compliment the rear tyre?

I have done some research and to my surprise I have not found an abundance of 18" bais ply front tires
found the rear in Avon's Cobras and Michelin Commanders II but nothing for the 18"
called Avon and they recommended cobras in the rear and the venom in the front with no indication on when they were to produce a cobra in 18" for the front...
However they do offer a radial for the front....jury's still out of the radial on the front wheel
Bias on the front and radial on the rear...not radial on the front...

Kind of interested in this myself as my rear tire is about toast. Looking at the Commander II and wondering about a good mate for the front.

OP, are you a member of TBH? I used to frequent that site quite often...

 

I've run Avon Venoms & I liked them a lot, very good tires, they should match up fine with the Cobra rear. Dunlop is supposed to release the 18" version of the Am Elite this fall, I don't know of anything that's a direct match to the Mich.

 

Dunlop American elite on rear and elite 3 on front SO MUCH BETTER then the crap 407 and 408 like a different bike!!!
