Let me make sure I understand this. You are ranting won't loan you a 20K Harley to ride off on ..have your red avatar..your handle as tekeum and no credit card...What the crap is this world coming to. Actually seriously you do need to have a credit card in this day and time just like a cell phone. Just always pay it back monthly. Get one that pays 1% back. I pay mine off monthly, charge everthing on it including Mickey D's.. I have $211 credit back already this year free and clear. Purchased a 14K mill and lathe on it off Amazon a few monts ago. It's safer then a debit card. You can actually overdraw a debit card if a Mom and Pop store does not debit the same day and my credit union debit card charges $30 for and overdraft for each one.

People that responsible with credit cards, can have them, they are smart, they pay full at months end, never run a balance avoid rates, etc.. banks hate these guys, the money is in the fees and interest, it is better for your credit rating to leave a balance and make payments on it than it is to pay it off in full believe it or not.

Anyway in my younger years, when I was a father of three at 20 years old and a high school drop out, I had a credit card, but it quickly became a lifeline, then it became a way to have what we couldnt afford, in the end I cut the card up, paid the balance off and said never again, I knew we weren't ready to walk around with a line of credit in our hands at that point.
I raised my kids the same way, we had great stuff, all their stuff was top of the line for all their activities and clothes, etc.. our home, etc.. but all in cash, we never charged anything.
Luckily I earned a trade that allowed me to work alone and make 2 or 3k a week whenever I set my mind to it, so it wasnt a problem.

'IT is so easily abused and most people do get into hot water with them, some people get to the point that if they lived 100 years they would still owe on the card, once your in deep your in for good and thats the problem with them.

We have an ultra secret emergency credit card we never ever talk about it, it is there just in case all four tires go at once on a sunday, or something comes up that there is no way around, otherwise it just collects dust.
Everyone has there own way when it comes to money, unfortunately not everyone can handle money.
I have known and seen several friends win the lotto and were dead within 3 years, just couldnt handle money, or people like that lady in Washington who was so far in debt with bank america she drove her car and her kids into the river to end it all so she wouldnt have to face the music or tell her husband and deal with the embarrassment of losing everything they had and showing it was all fake.

Credit card life, the stress alone can really ruin your life if you let it, nah not for me man, been there done that, I respect credit, see it has use but try to never use it.

Back to the point for the OP.
I do think you can use your card at the dealer, just tell them it is a credit card, pay cash and you should be just fine worked for me in Vegas and here in CT

A credit card is you borrowing money and paying it back with or without interest but always with a fee.
I have several credit cards. None with a fee! The one I use most REFUNDS 1% on everything, 2% on grocery's, & 3% on gas. The one from Harley REFUNDS 1% on everything in the form of certificates for Harley goods & services. I haven't paid for an oil change in nearly 10 years, not to mention the parts I get free every now & then.

Jiks, you have an annual fee for having those privileges then, there is always a fee.
Thats how banks make money and why they issue cards at all.
If you have a card with zero annual fee;s, no interest on purchases paid n full per statement, and can take cash advances and stuff, thats a pretty sweet card.
To have that you must have pretty good credit to start with, if thats all true good for you man, thats great.

Most of us though dont have free credit cards.
Most households run on them though.

My bothers place is rented furniture, rented tv, statues, but its all rented, can barely afford to make a truck payment and his rent but he just had to go spend 1500 on a bunch of crappy furniture and stereos so his apartment looked like he was doing very well, meanwhile he is a joy to be aroudn while he tries to pay for all this crap and worries about losing it every month, lol.
Cash is king baby, like my bike.

I used to say when I was working a lot more than I do now, I make my own hours, make my own people, roll my own smokes, and I have a license to print money whenever I want, life is good wen you are fortunate enough to do that and not need credit, it is 100% liberating.

None of my cards have a fee and if I pay the balance at the end of the month then there is no interest. I will not pay a fee just to put a card in my wallet.
