Tank Emblem on rear fender, RKC?
I can't be the first person to think of this. I relocated my license plate, so now I have the three damn holes in the fender (2010 RKC). I was all set to do the modified belt buckle thing (great idea I got from a guy here......of course) and I got a different idea. What about putting a tank emblem there instead? Already curved, already has a weather resistant adhesive backing.......anyone try this yet?

I thought about this too when I put vintage emblems on my tank(11 RKC). Problem is that the curve of the tank is not an exact radius. That is the front part of the emblem curves more sharply than the rear portion. I guess you could heat and bend it to fit but it is pretty thick. I just layed mine on the rear fender to check for sure, and it does not fit the curve of the fender. It might be easier to find a thinner emblem and bend that to fit. Or the aftermarket fillers available.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I agree that if I could find a relatively thin metal emblem (one that fit my taste), that would be ideal. I've got the rubber plugs in there for now, but will continue scouring the Internet for the right emblem. Sure would be nice if there was a tank emblem-fender match chart (I would guess some tanks and some fenders have to match up pretty close)!
