I will check into the yellow/amber issue, but I think it has to do with the height above the ground. Jacked up trucks are wreaking havoc with bumper and light regs.

Stop by an Inspection station tomorrow. i really don't like spreading bad poop and should have checked first. Don't see many in North VA and maybe there is one reason. Professional courtesy aside, just because you see one on the road don't mean you not breaking some dumbazz reg.
I stopped by the Safety Inspection Station I use here in NORVA and off the top, the Inspector said he did not know of any reg that would prohibit the use of Amber Spot Auxillary lights in our state. He will pull his bookand check for me by EOD and I'll know about my potential change.
A kindly LEO, who chose not to embarrass me on the Forum, PM me and was absolutely right about the color. Just make sure they are DOT approved Lenses tho. That has been a point with some Inspection stations in the Woodbridge area, as it should for all, if it is a reg.

Wow that didn't hurt to bad at all. It's good to be grown up once in awhile.

I think the Bumble BEE should stay away anyway...

Just read the Official VA guidelines for Motorcycle Safety Inspections.

To paraphrase; No more than two head lights (that work), turn signals optional, but must work, and very interestingly
no more than two auxillary lights facing forward. Halogendriving lightadd ons to Touring models with a light bar to the front are, I guess, Verboten in VA.

I was thinking of adding two Halogens mounted down on the Brake calipers (Eglide goodies), but they won't get passed at my local.

All forward facing lights must clear or amber. Didn't say lenses, but lights.

No RED lights facing forwards.

How do the Wingers do it?

I bought my amber lights at the moco. The manuf is Custom Chrome. They were about $13 a piece.

Sweet ride! How's your visibility at night? I've heard there is less glare.
