I use it in all 3 holes. Mine is a little less clatter with the 20/50 Oil over the Mobil1 20/50 but the tranny is smooth as it gets.

If miles get credit, the first 50,000 were on Syn 3 because I worked at a Dealership so it was cheap.

The next 65,000 have been on Mobil 1 and the bike still uses no oil between 5,000 mile changes. So I'm seriously sold on Mobil.

But when it's hot outside, I'm tempted to find a "summer" oil. maybe a Red Line 20w/60 just to quiet down the valve train. Mobil 1 is noisy!

I use Redline in all 3 holes.seems to have quited the tranny a little and seems neutral is easier to find.Very satisfied with it.

Red line is far beyond mobil 1 in the quality of their basestocks and additive packages, availability is the issue. It's hard to find.
Mobil 1 15w-50 and the v-twin flavors are a group 3/4 blend basestock.
Red line uses group 5 basestocks which is as good as it gets, then their additive packages are much stronger than any oil mobil makes publicly available.
Mobil has to play by the API rules whereas red line, mobil, royal purple and other blenders don't.
Now does a regular engine really need all this tech in the oil, probably not but if your going to pay top dollar at least get what your paying for.

Redline has a strong smell which will emit from the trans. when hot. It took me three changes to get rid of it.

Use Amsoil 75W-140 in six speeds and 75W-110 in five speeds

Amsoil 20W-50 in the other two holes.

RedLine oils here too and very satisfied with their performance, bike shifts smoother and N is easy to find(most of the time).Since it's not available locally(Italy) I order it from another Country (Belgium) and believe me every oil change is not cheap but worth it in my opinion.

All gear lube does. Im using the shockproof and its pretty good stuff, she still clunks into first at a stop, and still bangs pretty good while changin gears.

i remember that also, the gears weren't to bad, but the bearings he said looked the worst, like they weren't getting enough oil to them. but i still run it for now with the formula+ in the primary and 20/50 brad penn oil for the motor. now you have me thinking again (LOL)
