Default Road King Suspension

I am wanting to see if I can get some input on how I can get my RKC to set like this. I know that must people have them lowered 2 inches in the front and back and a 21 inch in the front.I have mine lowered in the back right now 1.5 and it looks nothing like this. I am wanting to be able to set mine up like this and still ride 2 up.

hmm, what's that bike have -1.5" between the top of the fender and the bottom of the triple tree ?

bike looks like the rear section is dropped so the "belly" is close to the ground and the swingarm angles up

I know it's a detail, but the saddle bags should be rehung so that the bottoms of the bags match the horizontal line of the pipes

if the shot was wider, you'd see a trailer I betcha.

Mike

That bike looks like it's got an air ride system or some very short shocks. If you take a look at my sig photo, I run 11.5" shocks, and a 140/70-16 tire in back. I have sometimes scraped the frame on speed bumps, and am very careful riding two up.

How low is your king in the front by chance?

It's lowered 1.5" with Progressive drop in. Originally dropped it 2" but the ride was very harsh. I run an oversize front tire 140/90-16 to fill the fender a little more, it adds about .3" back in ride height.

Default It is beter to look good than to..........

I don't get the obsession for lowered machines. You lose ground, clearance, lean angle and suspension travel. That can be a safety hazard when braking hard or during an emergency maneuver. How important is that passenger to you ?

My bikes stock suspension SUCKED, the thing had no road feel, was totally dead on center, squatted so much under braking I thought the back tire was leaving the ground, and it turned in at speed like it was pulling a plow. Properly lowered with good shocks, and tires this bike handles much better than stock, and stops much, much better than stock. It really didn't take away any more lean angle than adding a set of foot board extenders did at stock height. I have had issues with speed bumps when riding two up though.

Which Progressives are you running? I have an 05 FLHRSi and I totally agree that the stock suspension SUCKS. I will NOT ride 2 up on this bike for that very reason.
