So give me your impressions or opinions on the HD remote pager with late model bikes with the factory security system and smart siren II installed.
How is battery life on the non rechargeable pager?
Also does the bikes electrical system keep the back up battery charged on the factory smart siren II?
I've been using one for 18 months and I have changed the battery one time. I don't use the pager all the time, just when I know I'll be leaving the bike outside(bar, hotel, driveway) for a while. It works up to 1/2 mile away. When it goes off it buzzes and vibrates, it will wake you up. Yes the bikes electrical system keeps the back up battery charged on the factory smart siren II. I would not be without it, but I'm not one of those guys that wouldn't buy anything HD.
I put my pager on the charger overnight once a week and have not had an issue. I ride my bike daily (sold my car) all year round. The battery keeps the siren charged easily.
I have the non-rechargeable battery pager and I put a battery in it and don't turn it off until the battery dies. Even when it's parked in the garage the remote is activated. On average a battery running continuous will last me at least 45 days.
The battery on the pager seems to run out pretty fast. Maybe about 36 hours.
Maybe not 36 hours but to damn fast, if I had to do it again I would have gotten the rechargeable pager. I stopped using it because I got tired of replacing the battery.
