Default How you felt after the first ding or chip....

I took the hard bags off today to be able to wash the back wheel area better. When I detached them and was carrying the left side one over to set it in the grass it slipped out of my hand and came down on the edge where the sidewalk meets the grass.....OMG, a nick in the fiberglass and paint....I felt a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach immediately then soon after my brain was blaring at me saying "YOU FREAKIN DUMBA**!!!"

A perfect 2003 Screaming Eagle Road King until NOW!!!! And the nick is very visible because it is on the lid of the bags....Arghhhhhhhh...Someone please just shoot me to put me out of my misery....

Anyway, it is what it is and SH*T happens....So tell me how you felt after acquiring your first nick, mark, or blemish....

At first it bothered me. The more you ride the more chips and dings you get just adds character to the bike.

Dropped my helmet on the saddlebag lid when my bike was 2 weeks old. It wasn't fun but I got it over with and I'm piling up the stone chips. I hope there are many more...adds character

It's not so bad when you do it yourself. Really sucks when some A-hole does it to you.
How about getting rear ended at a stop light in a 4 month old Corvette.
That sucked.

Just means that the bike ain't a trailer queen. Gives it character. Ride and enjoy!

I got my first one on my ride home from the dealer, life happens. Do what you can to minimize the damage and soldier on. I would rather look at a scooter with some character them some trailer queen that never gets the chance to see the highway. So to sum it up I didn't like it, but it didn't really bother me.
