I have been running lowers on my 03 RoadKing since it was new. Keeps the feet dry and the bugs off. Although I have never used a temperature gauge to check I think the engine runs cooler with the on.

Thanks, yall. Yeah, I've read threads where the speculation is the engine gets more directed air flow. I'm guessing especially when the vents are closed.

I've thought about adding them on mine. I want to add speakers there and in the lids of the hard bags I will eventually switch to. Just another thing to add to my list of stuff I plan on doing.

Hey wait....I just paid 30 + grand to get a Road King with lowers and speakers in the lids. Its called a CVO. You guys are behind the curve... I just pulled the New CVO windshield off and put the Classic Road King windshield on it. Next I'm putting the Auxilary Lights on mine because I like the classic look

I've seen a few RKs with lowers, looks good, HD must think so also, the new CVO has them.
