Sounds like a blockage somewhere along the line.

Well, didn't think it would work but it appears the "tie the brake lever down overnight and tap the calipers with a mallet" made a significant change in travel.

I took it out for a ride this evening and the front brake is stopping a lot better. The lever starts to tighten up about 1/3 of the way and at 1/2 travel it is hard with good clamping power.

We'll see if it holds up though... Thanks! KG

It calls for DOT5 on the cap of the master cylinder. Even though the problem appears to be fixed now, I still plan on flushing/filling both MCs with new fluid. Thanks! KG
