Want to use a solo seat but still need my original seat when the wife rides however you can see light scratches on rear fender from oe seat,dont want a bib to hide them but how can i stop this from happening?

 

If you just want to prevent, put electrical or duct tape on the bottom of the seat where the contact points are. I do that for my rider backrest rack to protect the fender.

 

I am sure i can rub the scratches out,never thought of putting something on the bottom of the seat to protect the fender i will try that,thanks

 

I put rubber bumpers on the frame right where the crash bars attach.

and a thick rubber washer between the mounting tab and the fender.

I trim down the ribs on the underside of the seat.

and that keeps the fender looking pretty good when the solo seat goes on
