I just came from the dealer too. I wanted to see the 110th anniversary models. None in stock yet. But he said a new Ultra Anniversary would set me back a little over $25K. He recommended selling mine, or keeping it, as he knew he couldn't give me what it was really worth. That's just the way it is when it comes time to move up. I do like the looks of that 110th emblem though.

$19K for trade-in on a 2011 Limited is a fair offer, IMO. It's a 2yo bike. Plus you'll pay sales tax on the difference between new and trade so you'll save another grand in the process. That's $20K+ off the price of a 2013 bike. What more do you expect to get, realistically? If you think it's worth more, sell it yourself ...... but be patient.
Let's see ........ A 2013 is $24.5K. A leftover 2012 (new) is around $23K now that the 2013 are on the floor. A used 2012 is around $21.5K. Yours will be offered around $20K. If the dealer doesn't make $1K selling it, why would he bother?
Oh and take your accessories off and sell them separately. They are worth penny on the dollar for a dealer.
Now, if you're upside down on your 2011 bike, that's a totally different story but that's not the dealer's fault anyway.
Makes sense?

My life has changed in the last year. Wifey and I bought the bike to replace the Road King that hurt her sweet little princess @ss. So we got the Ultra to tour the country. Literally 2 weeks later life hit.....preggo! Now our son is 6 months old and she hasn't ridden in over a year. And my days of overnighters are all but gone. So I just want to be able to throw a leg over and raise hell for a few hours here and there....and I don't think I need a $25k bike in the garage to do so. so I was simply looking to downgrade a little.
