Default OEM fairing on RK. anyone interested???

I just did a thread on changing my bike from efi to carb'd and had a pretty good responce from it. So I figure why not one of mounting a OEM fairing.
I have a OEM fairing that I Mount on my bike for the colder weather and will be putting it back on probably here in a few weeks. It does have the inneer fairing but no gauges.
Figured I would see if anyone would be interested in a thread of how to mount it to a RK before I waste time documenting something that no one is interested in.

I would be very interested in what you have to say. I currently have an '07 RK and have been kicking the idea around of putting a fairing on it for the last several years. Had just figured on going with an aftermarket fairing though.

Just out of curiosity, why does it not have the gauges if its an OEM fairing?

it does have the places for the gauges as seen in the pic below. due to the cost of adding them plus the hassel it would cause each spring when I take it off and fall when I put it back on I left them out and made spacers to fill the holes...My original plan was to add speakers into each of the holes (tweeters in the small holes) just never happened

I am extreamly interested in this. I would even pay money for a video on this conversion. I have been thinking of this since I saw the aftermarket types. They just do not look like they belong on a RoadKing. They seem out of place and kind of stick up in the air.
Bring it on.

Why not just pop some additional speakers and tweeters in the holes.

I would love to put a RG fairing on my RK. I have a reckless fairing on now.

Well, I'd like to hear about it, sounds like it would be a worthwhile thread, go for it Bro. Can't understand why Harley don't offer one from the factory for us RK owners but I'm sure they will after we all do it.

I would be very interested, I was thinking about the same thing, but I have a Heritage. I would have to compare notes and see if I could make it work.
