I know this is old guys but wanted to fill you in. Breakout owner here!!!! at 4K miles they were both ready to be replaced!!!! I have 6K on it now and they really need to be changed. I bought the CVO rims and refuse to do the change till I can get Avon's instead of the dun-rocks. They make a back for me but no one make that front tire size. I even called Avon and they said "nope and not in the near future either". I search the web daily waiting for any other company to make a 13/60-21 and still nothing. I know you guys are talking about this tire for the size but I have to let you know it's a 4000 mile tire and you might want to wait before buying one(unless you don't mind buying a new one every 4 to 6 thousand)?

Avon does make a back tire for my Breakout but I would like to keep them matching. Does that really matter? or should I just use a Avon in the back and buy another Dunlop for the front till someone makes them? is it normal to have two different brand tires on a bike?

You can run a 120/70/21 on that wheel without issue. Your mileage sounds kind of low to me for a softail on a rock hard tire. I ran that tire in a 19" on the front of my bagger for at least 6000 miles and it still has at least half the tread left.

First off thanks Hogpro. But nope, go to all the breakout forums and we are all crying about it. I didn't even believe it at first. I was reading one day and saw all the complaints. Went home and checked both my tires and yes they were both bald!!!!! Maybe it's the bike? or maybe the tire in that size. But all the breakout guys are having trouble. 6000 is the max. At 4000 it was pretty well worn but I could still get some use out of them. Now at 6000 it's scary unless the roads are 100% dry and perfect.

the only difference in the size you gave me is the 70. that's the width right? and it should matter except for looks? I only ask because of the breakout rake and huge back tire.

P.S. I gave Avon my rim width that's stamped into it. he told me I had to stay with the 130/60-21????? Unless they don't make 130/70's either?

OK, lemme approach it a different way: You have a SG, which is factory lowered 1" in the back. You put on a 130 60 21 that raises the front 1". Then you put EG rear shocks on it which raises it 1". You have raised your SG 1" all the way around (so to speak) 1" front & 1" rear. So isn't the geometry of your SG exactly the same as stock???
my bike must suck at math. I went from 13" rear shocks to 12" rear shocks and it only changed the measured height by about 1/2". Pythagoras was over rated anyway and I wouldnt need a hypotenuse if they had mounted that dang shock straight up and down.

The 120/70/21 is a little narrower (10mm) and a little taller on the sidewall. I sell that tire for lots of guys with baggers doing 21" wheels and am yet to get a complaint on the mileage from it. A bagger weighs about 250 lbs more than a softail. What kind of pressure are you running in that front tire? Max PSI is 40 or 42. I'd run it at that or close to it for best mileage.

Well, lets start with this...... Touring bikes never had 13 inch shocks, unless you added aftermarket shocks. Harley makes 2 size air shocks. 12 3/4 and the lowered 12 inch air shocks. So if you swapped the stock air shocks with the 12 inch lowered shocks, you lost 3/4 of an inch at best. And that's at best, because the 12 3/4 shocks "may have a touch" of sag with zero air pressure, while the 12's have absolutely none.
