H.D. offering now 130/ 21 front tire

The Metzeler is still a 120/70/21. I have read that Metzeler has come out with a 120/70/21 Commander II as well but have not been able to find it. Dunlop is the only 130/21 which is a 130/60/21. I see no need for the extra 10mm (.37") but some feel more comfortable with a wider tire. Happy New Year.

There is not a matching rear tire that is a good combination with this front tire. This tire is off the CVO softail breakout which comes with a 240 rear tire. the tire is a Dunlop D408F. In all honesty I don't think that the extra 10mm of width makes much of a difference and would be happier (as I am) with a 120/70/21 and a 200/50/17.

As my impulse control problem got the best of me once again, during this whole experiment I wound up trading my Road King Classic in on a 2013 Street Glide so The Whitewall didn't matter for my use. Here is what the tire looks like mounted. I only rode 3 miles home from the dealer but it felt fine. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

OK so Tab couldn't make a WW out of it. The sidewall wouldn't work with his machine. I will say that it was a pleasure dealing with him. Would highly recommend DB tires. True professionals.

LOL. I had NO intentions of getting a new bike. I stopped at the dealer to pick up a small part and they had just put it on the floor and the color stopped me dead in my tracks. Then the impulse control problem took over. Needless to say there is a really nice 2009 Road King at Lombardi's H-D in Staten Island for sale.
