Pleasant surprise with my new RGU
Bought a new RGU in late June. Right after the purchase I of course created a large work order to upgrade everything - handlebars, exhaust, AC, amp, speakers etc. Being they had the front apart I added everything I wanted at once to save labor..
To make a long story short it had taken a while to get everything so I have ended up riding the bike stock for over 3000 miles. This probably is one of the rare times I have this much experience with stock mufflers.
Well, they sure have changed since the first ride. Even though very quiet, they are sounding pretty good now. Seems they break in a lot. Actually I am enjoying it

I do not have time to swap mine out yet, be going on a ride in a few days for a few and cannot drop the extra dime for exhaust so I am accepting the OEM mufflers for now, do not sound as quiet as units from times past but are quiet.
Loving our new ride so far, rides great and quite a change from the Road King.

I'm with ya! After several years of Rinehart TD's on the 07, I'm liking the stock mufflers! Got to the point where I was tired of the loud drone of the Riney's after an hour or two . I'll be changing the header (or at least killing the kitty), A\C, cams & tuner after awhile (only about 2 months old, want to make sure no waranty issues first) but mufflers may stay stock.
