Default kutter hd thanx for nuthin

2 weeks ago used a new indy for tires,my usual guy was booked way out.one week later on a ride about 2 hours from home and rear goes flat.called hog that ask were to tow it too,i know kutter hd has 2 stores in the area i tell hog i would call them back and i call cutter, the parts guy answers and tells me no problem bring it in,i call hog back and she says cutter told her i could tow it there but they wouldn't look at it for over a week,so i call both stores and told same thing,so i call the indy that did the tires he says your 2 hours away sit tight he would be there in 2 hours,2 and a half hours (and one defective inner tube) and I'm back on the road.ALL of this brings me to the moral of the story while waiting we were told of 2 local indys who would have no problem fixing us up,this is the second time i was stranded in a gas station and both times within an hour had locals tell us of indys who would do the work, first time was at 9 pm an a saturday, just try and find a dealer that would do that.

As long as the dealers stay the way they are, there will be indy's getting plenty of business, your post is one of the reasons I don't have a HOG membership anymore. The only place they will tow you to is a HD dealer, and you better hope it's close, I have AAA, they are faster and will tow to where you want to go.

Hog Members get "basic road side assistance"

with the $20 upgrade the towing to dealer is unlimited mileage.

i have used this twice, the first would have run $220 out of pocket--- the second was even more $.

Wyoming and Montana.

AFAIK there was no Indy, gas station or even a farmhouse handy to where i was when my tires popped.

dealer/indy always hit and miss I have had poor experiences at both- and good experiences at both

on the phone i was told they would tow anywhere the first 100$ was covered, by the way indy says no charge for tow or repairs since they used a defective tube.

Default Tow

I was stranded with a blowout at about 5PM the night before Easter. I called HOG and they really worked to get someone to come get me. They did pay $100 toward the towing and it wasn't to a HD dealer.

After that I got roadside assistance insurance from Progressive. They will pay to get me to the closest dealer. I still keep my HOG membership because they will work to find someone to pick it up. I think I would have to find someone to tow it on my own with the Progressive insurance. That would be a hassle without a phone book to look through.

No HD dealer around me. I assume do the work yourself(if your not stranded dammit) or take it to an INDY. Glad the small guys pulled through again.

I was stranded on the side of an interstate at 1AM and called Progressive. They had to call several tow companies until they found one that would do a motorcycle tow at that time of the morning. They called me several times with updates and when they found a tow I received several text messages with the tow ETA. Progressive even approved a tow to my home because of the hour of the morning. To me they went above and beyond.
