How long you been riding and if you have any experience with heavy bikes, first time having a Harley especially touring will feel very heavy and tall until you master the skill to harness the beast. My self only 5.8" ride 07 UC stock height and 1/2 pad on the seat yes it was iffy when I had my 05 UC but after about 100K on these 2 bikes I don't feel the weight or height any more. My friend's wife only 5.4" rides 08 UC lowered to match SG seat height no problems after putting 40K on the bike. You might want to practice a lot before you throw any money on it to fix the problem you don't have.

It must be the lowering kit. I am running an 18" wheel on the back with no issues.

No, the guy I bought it from was not real liberal with the information. I don't know why, but this is what it is. I know what ever option I choose to go with its going to cost$$$. Just want to make the right decision. I know that the wheels are made by Arlen ness, but I'm sure I'm not going to be able to find one to match the front. I appreciate all of the info!!!!!

Your height isn't as important as your inseam. I am 5-5 and have just under a 32 inch inseam. I had the super narrow job done to my seat on my stock 2012 SG by Mean City Cycles and I flat foot with bent knee's and no special boots - just regular old riding boots. The job on the seat only cost me less than $150.

Yeah, I didn't have any issues untill I lowered it, but it was just to tall for me. I was just wondering if the air suspension was a good investment or the best choice. I know if I remove the lowering bones and get a different seat it will be about the same height. The cost of the seat I want is about$650 and the air suspension is $850! WHAT TO DO???

^^^ what he said.

I have a RKC, but I put SG shocks on it, had MCC rework my seat, and got HD Trail Boss boots - I can flat-foot the bike with no problems now.

The Super Narrow mod can only be done on 11-12 bikes, fyi.
