Default Street Glide seat 09

Just got back from Sturgis. My factory seat is great for a 4/5 hr. trip, not a 10/12 hrs. Would like to keep my HD back rest, Harley seats that would work are the Sundowners, Hammock, and the Zeppelin. Anyone recommend any of these or another brand seat that would work. Wife has her own bike so passenger comfort is not an issue. THXS GG

I have a 2008 road glide seat on my 09 SG and it made a world of difference

The Sundowner is a big improvement over the stock seat. I found it very comfortable out to Sturgis and back.

I have the Sundowner also. I didn't notice a "huge" difference from stock, but for the passenger it's much more improved. I just got the Sundowner because it was one of the cheapest options. I don't regret it. You'll hear people chime in about Mustang, Mean City Cycles, Danny Gray, Corbin, etc... And I'm not saying anything negative about them as I've never used them, but you specifically asked about something that will work with your stock Harley backrest, and I believe a Harley seat is the only one that will allow a Harley backrest. I could be mistaken about this though.

I use the SG seat on my FLHTC for the in-town stuff. Like you, good for 4 hours, painful at 6.

On the road, I use an Ultra seat.

works great and they are cheep !
lots of take offs in the classifieds.

Zeppelin is what I went with and you won't believe the difference it will make in distance.
