i did the oil temp gauge by Wally...lots easier to install than the HD unit...also very useful....i'm lookin for a nice outside ambient temp gauge to go on the handlebars....not a big dumbass one either, one that is small, silverfaced, and the is a half shell replacement for one of the handlebar controls

Since you asked, IM humble O with a finite amount of space you would want the most bang for your buck. A dependable oil guage would be my pick. A compass...? Do you have one in your cager?

Don't waste the time or money on the compass. I just did. There are 16 zones within the continental US and you have to recalibate the compass when you enter each zone. I thought that was crazy and called HD techs about this. Theyconfirmed the recalibration for each zone. The compass was hard enough to istall so I will just leave it. The sending units mounts to the rear left bag support so you have to thread the wiring from behind the fairing to there. Involves lifting up the gas tank.
