Default Lower Fairings on a Street Glide?

I'm thinking of getting lower fairings for my street glide.
(Rain protection and a place to put extra speakers. )
Why didn't I just get an Electra glide in the first place?
Am I a crazy man for wanting lowers on a SG?

Anybody else get a SG then added the lower fairings?

Well, let's see, there's me .... and another guy .... yep, there's another ....... wait, I think there's more, approximately A WHOLE LOT OF THEM! Seriously, do what you want to your bike and don't ask others if you're crazy. Caring what others think WILL make you crazy. I love my lowers on my Street Glide, they work great, to me they look great and I've had a lot of compliments that make me know others think they look great, too. But, even if others didn't, I would run 'em, cause I like 'em and that's all that matters.

I kept the old lower fairings off my 01' Eglide and put them on my new Street Glide, didn't even paint them to match. Lowers extend my riding season as much as 3 months. I do take mine off in the summer because I use a different front crash bar during the summer months. I am going to paint them to match the new bike before reinstalling them for the fall season.

You should have bought a Ultra and stripped it down, then you would have just about everything you end up wantin when you buy a SG.Money ahead as well. Let the hounds out !!

That was mean and uncalled for, I am suffering from some some liquid tongue loosener, I am sorry for being rude. The cool thing about these Baggers is the ability to change parts from most models to yours. Get the lowers you will ot regret it and they look good to boot.

Put them on my 2010 SG. I will never have a Touring bike without them. Wish I'd bought them the day I bought the bike.
