Lower Fairings on a Street Glide?
#21
Originally I planned to buy an EGC in Vivid Black, buy lowers, and have the whole bike painted within weeks of owning it. Dealer had the Ultra in stock and made me a deal I couldn't refuse. There went the paint money. I've never taken them off, love how they look, love rain protection, and look forward to putting speakers in'em.
You want'em, get'em. Obviously many love'em, so chances are you will too.

There's a lot more difference between an ultra and a streetglide. If you like a streetglide most likely it's because of the cleaner styling. Even with lowers and or a tour pack they look very different style wise. I put lowers on mine and will have a tour pack at some point. But they will always be removable and won't always be on there. I like a bike with the chrome on the engine, not wrapped around the body work

Thank you for all the comments. I've decided to go for the lowers. The guy who has them for sale has the 'stock' and also a set of Hogg Chopps. I'll get to look at both and make a decision.
I'm thinking the added bonus is extending the riding season but last year here in Ontario Canada, we had an extended riding season. ...beautiful fall...rode until the first week of November and an early Spring had us riding in March. Let's hope this season is the same.
Thanks again for all the comments on lowers. ( I did a forum search on Hogg Chopps...many happy customers with those also.)
