FWIW, I put lowers on my RK and bought them for the rain protection. I get wet because of probably installing HG extensions, and having a windshield. I'm bummed but love the way they look. My knees are soaked after a mile and my feet are even worse. I love my bike even with stinky feet! haha

I put them on my SG before I took delivery. I love lowers on my bike for looks as well as function. I also had the boom fairing lowers speakers installed and love them!

Yup - love mine too. Year round as well. Seems like a hands down great purchase according to everyone on here. Next you gotta get a tour pak for those long trips. Thats another addition that I am glad I got.

I got some used lowers and really like them plus the extra speakers are kool too. If I did it again I'd spring for the vented ones though. Still, never take them off.

Just put a set on my '09 SG but still up in the air about leaving them on all summer. They do redirect the air and now my a$$ gets pretty warm!

I wanna add lowers to my RG, but I can't see spending that kinda money for molded plastic. Do you know how many BJs I can buy with that kinda lute??? And I like BJs wwwaaayyy better than lowers on my Harley.

All sh!tt!n aside...lowers will be the next mod when I can afford mods.

I have an EGS and ended up purchasing the lowers. I took out the vents and the lowers stay on all year long.
