Default Lost a &^%$ Saddlebag!

Coming back from Stugis stopped to pee. Looked down and the right saddlebag was gone! Second time that's happened the first time was a couple of blocks from the house. This time it could be anywhere across the state of Minnesota!
Had to vent!
But the dealer in Lacrosse let me have a used pair of cop bags for $150.00 so that eased the pain.

I was thinking of going with hard bags-and I like the cop bags. For $150 can't beat it!

the stock pins may spread over time or vibrate out.

they can be secured just by tying a lace or wire between the 2 wire loops or by replacing the hardware.

for $8 at hardware store 4 "speed nuts"* and 4 wing screws** will replace stock hardware.

or you can buy hardware from Brutus for 20~25 bucks or what ever they charge

* SMS type U 5/16-18 thread crown bolt #43228

** 5/16-18 thread X 1" crown bolt #66808

a couple of rubber fender washers too, or reuse the stock ones

In addition to the Brukus saddlebag hardware... I use 2 small U bolts, drilled 2 holes in the bottom of my saddlebags and bolted them in from the inside. Now all I need is a more secure saddlebag latch system and I will be set.
