Lowering brackets for touring bikes?
Has anyone lowered their bike with the bracket that mounts on the swing arm and moves the shock mounting location farther back. Seems like a easy idea but what about shock angle with bags, ride etc.?

No. I have used blocks but the ones I used only dropped it 1".
I think you run into issues if you drop it much more than that.

lots of guys use these, you retain pretty much full shock travel, the angle is not a big deal for bikes with hard bags ( FLHRC may have problems) but should be checked for clearance
you may scrape a bit here and there, high speed handling is a little better due to rake/trail change. low speed handling a little heavier.
cheap and easy and if you don't like, just take them off.
1" is usually ok, 2 or 3" I wouldn't.
do make a point of checking drive belt tension after changing rear suspension height
