+1 on cosmetics. That is the only thing that is compromised. The sound will be the same. If it bothers you that much, a low vol vacuum cleaner to suck it back out.

Default Verdict

Ok, here's the verdict.

1st Attempt: Straw (bendy). This 1/2 way worked but the dent crossed a grill bar (or a grill bar went right through the middle of the dent). I could lift one side at a time, but the other side would collapse. This was promising, because it did actually make progress.

2nd Attempt: 2 Straws. Took my trusty boot knife and cut the sumbitch in two, one for each side of the grill. This was tricky because I have to pinch each straw to fit in the grill, then lean over with two straws in my mouth to get suction. The tour-pak is detached and on the garage floor, so I have to get on my knees. This is about the time my girlfriend walked in the garage. She asked if I was blowing my tour-pak and I said yes. She chuckled and went about her day. Ultimately 2 straws didn't work, because it requires more dexterity than I could muster bent over on my knees on the garage floor.

3rd Attempt: Duct tape over a nail. I first tried a fancy folded rig it where I had a duct tape like Q-Tip that I could work with one hand while stabilizing myself with the other. Ended up my duct tape Q-Tip wouldn't fit in the grill. I decided to try the simple route, lightly stab the duct tape and hold it on the end of the nail and use my other hand to aim. This finally worked.

I put the duct tape on the dent and pushed gently and held it there for a couple of seconds so it would adhere, then I jerked the nail out of the grill quickly. A couple of locations using this method pulled out the dent.

Yahoo, saved some dough. Duct tape wins again.

Doesn't Duct Tape fix everything every time?
