Default Holy Heat Batman

I just traded my Softie for a Ultra and took it for a short 200 mile spin today and can't get over how hot the right side is. Looks like a Jackpot 2-1 will be on the short list of parts needed.
Other than the heat this bike rocks I had a Goldwing in the past before the Softail and always felt like I needed to shift quite annoying. This one just seam to geared perfect granted not much get up and go in 6th but big deal. Far better than feeling like the bike like it needs and other gear. These may be 100 year old designs but why fix what ain't broke. All in all I'm thrilled with the purchase and can't wait to get back on (probably in about 30 minutes) and enjoy the comfort.

change the pipes Got a 2011 Ultra limmited and the cats are crazy hot... thats what they were designed to do! Went with rinehart True duals and what a differance dropped the temp 30 Deg and riding is much more bearable.

Check out Dragos pipes also, they are ceramic coated, once you loose the CAT, a lot of the heat will follow.

no need to change that (well at least not for that reason) take the lowers off & that will fix your heat problem.
i put a set of vented lowers on & was surprised at the heat that is trapped behind the right side.

I will look into all the options but for now simply taking off the lowers made a world of difference.

Yeah, till ya stop for a light..........then you'll find that heat again. Vance and hines Dresser duals, twin slash mufflers, big sucker cai, and vance and hines fuelpak. problem solved........better power, better looks, alot cooler (both ways ha ha ha)...........later.........mark
