Stripped down Road Kings

Same here....I don't have Apes though, I have beach bars and normally ride with no windshield and a solo seat. Looks totally badass

Here's mine without the windshield on. No apes, but lowered in rear.
Also just found this on eBay. Looks pretty damn good to me...

To me a Road King with out the windshield has to be the finest looking of the current Harleys. Conversely a Road King stripped of bags has to be the most butt ugly Harley ever. They were designed from the start for bags where the Duo-glides it desended from weren't and frame work and shocks reflect it.
WUZFUZ
Just my 2 cents worth.

Or an FLD Switchback, only problem there is Harley missed the mark with the forks.

Love this bike!!
Anyway; just reviving this thread cuz I did end up buying a Road King.... really like it. Swapped out the sofa seat for a brawler solo and put the windshield in the shed forever.... My sig pic below doesn't show it but I added the Jackpot 4" dyno tuned mufflers, Hi flow AC and a Power Vision tune.... pretty close to what I was after - just gotta figure out what handlebars I want and I'll leave it alone I think.
