Default Coastal Moto wheelset...anyone with experience?

Spoke with Jeff at Coastal Moto today regarding their wheel/tire combinations for an 08' SG. Price is acceptable, however, does ANYONE have experience with these guys?

I can read all day about PM or HogPro wheels, Coastal Moto customers, however, have little activity on here.

Thoughts? Thanks, in advance....

I bought a package from Coastal Moto that included:

Roland Sands Domino Wheels (18" front and rear)

Matching 13" front rotor

6 piston contrast cut PM caliper

Metzler 880 tires

The price was very fair and the customer service was exemplary. I have only good things to say about Jeff and Jason.

I think if you search the archives, you will see more happy customers.

Shakeydeal, thank you for the help! What is your experience/opinion on the Metzler 880's...i.e., wear patterns, mileage, grip, do they stay balanced?

I had there Cyclone rims for 25,000 miles and they looked just as good the day I took them off as the day I put them on.

I loved the Metzlers tires and Dyna Beads too.

Even though I went with Hogpro, I did extensive research as I am a cheap ***. I have read numerous positive post on Coastal. They gave me awesome quotes as well. In the end I went with a Hogpro design that I liked, but I would not hesitate to buy from Coastal

The Metzler is a good tire. It wears very evenly and handles great. I am on my second rear tire, about to get the third one Friday. I have averaged about 7500 miles on those two. I got just over 10K out of the front.

Spoke with Jeff a few more times today following thread post. He's not trying to push anything and suggests taking my time on the final decision process. I Q&A drilled him...patient and informative guy.

Looking at the Xtreme Machine wheelset, Shredder model, 21 X 3.5 hoop up front with two matching rotors and an 18 X 4.25 rear wheel. Metzler 880 rubber for both - twenty nine hundred shipped.

Thank you all for the input on Coastal & their products...word of mouth and good will from their customers are probably their best advertisement.

So, on the 21 install, did you feel the front end required lowering? I also understand the front fender needs re-positioned following the holes being opened up a little, or replacing the fender completely...sounds easy enough.

In dropping the front - any suggestions on this, i.e. Progressive springs, Monotubes? I'm running stock springs now, and suspension, for that matter...just trying to factor in EVERYTHING related to this project.

Again, thank you all...
