Default ??? ref '09 RK w/Throttle by Wire sticking

I've had this happen occasionally and a friend of mine with an '09 EGC just told me he has the same problem on occasion...

Situation: Coming to a stop at a light and the throttle doesn't snap back all the way forward to "idle". It sort of "sticks" a little short of it's full forward position. You have to twist/"help" the throttle forward just a wee bit to get it down to normal idle.

Is it OK to squirt a little silicone around the area where the grip meets the housing there? Will this take care of it, or is there something more to it?

Thanks!

I noticed that happening on my bike. I thought my hands were sticking on the grips and not letting it all the way off. It wasn't too long before I had trouble with the bike going into limp mode. I suggest you have the contacts cleaned or changed. There are plenty of threads on Throttle by wire that explains. Contacts cleaned and I haven't noticed it rev. higher at idle at stop signs. Have it done and you will have dodged a bullet that I had to take.LOL
