120R in a touring bike
Aside from the expected adrenalin thing, does anyone who has put or ordered a 120R in a touring bike feel that this detracted from the bike as a sound, all around tourer? Of course it's lots of fun, but is the stock machine more suited to the standard demands of the Glides or King?

I have a 120R in my SG, but its far from a Touring bike. With that said, I've seen at least 3 Ultra's in my area that are running 120R's and their owners are logging a lot of 2-up miles. IMO if you keep the 120R as built from the factory then its just as reliable/sound as a 96" or 103" and probably more sound than a 110".

Ive got close to 20000 miles of beatings on my 120r. I would take it to to the west coast and back tomorrow.

I see this opinion quite often and the 1st thing thought that runs through my head is that the average person that buys a bike "off the floor" (i.e. 96" or 103") doesn't send it out to get the drivetrain upgraded. Thus, why would they send out a performance engineered & specced engine. With that said, if/when I change my heads & cams I will then send out the crank to Darkhorse. Mainly because I would be altering the original engine.
