Default Ohlins #6's who has them, info needed please..

Would like to hear opinions and honest ride quality from those of you who have them mounted on their bike.

I have a Street Glide and it rides like ***.

How much difference do you "feel" in your body with these compared to your old set up what ever that was?

Did you upgrade the front forks as well?

Other than what some people may say on the good side is there a down side to them other thatn price?

Thanks in advance.

I have them on my streetglide and would get the 3's if i were to do it again. I might even try the stock 13 air shocks first if i could find a set cheap

The 3's are easier to adjust then the, 2's and less expenssive than the 6's. Im told the 6's are the best u can buy but i think id be happy keeping the extra money. I havent noticed a 1500 improvement. Ive been unable to find a sweet spot with mine.

Talking

Phone Howard and talk things through with him, which is what I did. #2s have mixed oil and gas, so the damping is not as good as #3s, which have separated oil and gas plus a limited degree of adjustment. #6s have yet better quality damping, with full adjustment. Each price step also comes with a step in quality.

I have #3s and believe me the improvement over my previous brand X shocks is remarkable. I have never bottomed out since fitting them, despite our bike with the two of us plus luggage on board being close to 1200 pounds.

Whichever version you buy you are going to be pleased and impressed! Bear in mind that Howard is working on an Ohlins cartridge front fork, to go with #6s.......

I'm about to go with the 6's myself. I also have another brand, which I think are better than stock, but I feel could be better. The problem with them is lack of adjustability. I understand I can take them off, send them back for changes, etc. but I have nothing to bolt back on while I do that. I would prefer to have compression and rebound adjustments at my fingertips. I also hate the stock frontend, and was ready to get the american suspension, but I'm gonna wait and see what Howard comes up with
