Just picked up a 2010 Street Glide. I'll be smoking the lenses this week.

Gotta keep the "red" to be legal...IMO - spend a little more $$$ for safety & get some red LED bulbs for the rear. Also, can't put a price on safety, another +++ for CD's Plasma Rods - they're awesome! I'm using as run/break on my 09.

+1 on the Custom Dynamics LED in rear. I also run the smoked lenses. The LED's require you to pull the old bulb assembly and trim the gasket just a tiny bit. Otherwise the lense won't seat properly. Use a razor blade and took about 15 minutes to do both sides.

Anyone running the new LED running light/turn signal in the front?

i have those on my '12 SG and i love them. VERY VERY visible from the front with all angles. it kind of solves the problem of the phase 7 LED light I have not being that visible from side angles. When you signal it's also very visible as well. it's not DOT approved but it works very well.

I agree with other posters. I have the custom dynamics setup with LED front/rear and the plasma rods. the plasma rods are the way to go for further visibility. Everyone that's ridden behind me has commented on how visible they are.

'12 SG stock is duel filament front and rear. The front is duel since they work as driving lights stock.

So I picked up some of the red LEDs from AutoZone and intalled them on one side of the rear for a comparison. They will be getting returned later this afternoon. They're not close to as bright as the stock clear light, red lens set up. I really liked the way they looked when the bike is off but after I turned it on, it was a no go...

The flaw in your statement is "red LEDs from AutoZone". These will not even begin to compare to Custom Dynamics or Bright Azz Lights. I run the CD red LEDS on the rear with smoked lenses and they are very bright. Combine these with the tri-bar brake run setup and the accessory light above the light bar, you have all kinds of red light back there. Add the CD Dynamic Ringz white/amber up front for added visibility up there and you can run smoked lenses all around.

great idea, I'll look for the mod
