I really dont know much about these things and have never done any testing with it. It was introduced by Harley Davidson in 1998. It doesnt wrap clear around the filter about 3/4 the way, you slip it on after the filter is installed. When I saw it on e-bay back when I had my Dyna I thought what the hell, and bought one. If nothing else it looks good. I sure dont think it hurts anything.

Thanks that looks interesting enough. Do you have a gauge that you can see any difference with to compair with the claim on the site selling them?

Another variant on these products included magnets to help trap particles in the filter. Of course, aluminum is not magnetic and surely the paper folds inside would do the same thing. So much hype, so little time.....
