Ive found an 01 with 45000 miles on the ticker, guys is wanting 8 for it, it looks pretty clean. Is there anything specific that I need to be aware of on those years?

That was a very good year for the TC88.

If it was a carb model it would be better. The old MM fuel injection can be troublesome. Doesn't sound like a bad price though.

I have 67k on my 01 FLHR and it has been a very good bike with very few problems. The price sounds pretty good, especially if there has been any bling added, such as chrome lowers. Were I able to buy another bike the lowers would be the first mod along with exhaust.

Oh cool ! They were good models .
A big plus is the motor had the Timkin bearing on the crank
Maybe a tad to be desired on the injection side of things .
But the MM system is fine for stock motors.
The swing arm may be updated but not absolutely necessary
And I have all the parts you may want for it .
Does it have a security system ?

I traded an '01 EG Standard that I put about 75k miles on. Good solid bike. Mime was carb'd. Not sure how well that MM EFI system is supported these days but don't think it's a deal breaker. I had a ' 00 RK with that EFI setup and it never missed a beat. In fact with a 95" kit added it ripped pretty well. Buy that bike.

Just bought an 01 Ulta last year with 45k with fuel injection and I'm very happy with it. I also owned an 05 King and 06 Dyna. This runs better than the newer ones I owned. I learned how to adjust idle but that's it. I put stage one with a power commander and Fullsac true duals and it runs and sounds perfect. I would buy it if in good shape.
