noise from rear tire or pully
'11 street glide, 15k miles. Ive noticed in the last couple thousand miles when cornering a noticeable whinning noise, louder with left turn than right, coming from the rear axle/tire/pully. Still under warranty, just looking for some feedback before I take it for service.

If it is under warranty take it in sooner than later. Sounds like a bearing.

Rear tire cupping?? Check for 'feathering' along the edge of the tire.

To me is sounds like a warped rotor.

I would think its the tire. You have worn the center of the tire down and you can't hear the new tire noise anymore except when you lean it over onto the not so used tread.

+1 on the cupped tires. I have an 11 SG and it startrd making the same sound at 10,000 miles.

Glad someone brought this up. My 09 RK does the exact same thing, louder on the left turn than right. I'll have it looked at.

Its the rear tire nothing wrong with it, just normal wear sounds, it will go away when you replace it!!
