Same execpt mine started around 12k. First it was when leaning right then around 15k it was when leaning left or right. And tire wear is not covered by warranty.

it is if you have the extended tire & wheel warranty & you just happen to get a nail in it.....

I have the same thing, it definitely sounds more mechanical in nature vs. a rubber on asphalt/concrete scrubbing.

So if I understand it right, you got 15k on the rear tire and youre complaining? I might get 11k maybe 12k solo on my 07 if Im lucky. The bikes are friggen heavy in the rear especially if 2 up. Hmm, I dont like what I am hearing about the new bikes, tires, IDS failures, wheel bearings etc

**** about 40 in the front and 42 in the rear per the Dunlop engineer. Actually, they had me do some field testing for them but can't go into it.

+1 (well +2, really) for plain old rear tire wear. If it is just a howl/whine when turning, its just normal tire wear. Started for me on the OE Dunlops at about 5k. Only heard it in left turns, later, it got louder and showed up in right turns. At 10k, I replaced the rear with an American Elite and it is gone. Same experience for my buddy's '10 SG...his whine started at about 3k.
