Default Do you tow your bike?

I have a friend who is hell bent on getting a trailer so he can tow his Touring bike. I told him you will never see my Touring bike on a trailer, i told him i don't understand why you want to tow a Touring bike 3-4 hundred miles. We live in Ct and ride in New England so it's never that long of a ride. I told him we would look like ***s towing 2 big Touring bikes. Ok end of rant...

Sometimes I trailer mine and I don't give a rat's @ss what people think.
There are situations where the destination is more important than the journey and the faster I get there, the better.
One example? Leaving right after work in the evening for a week vacation in a single place (hotel or rental) 450/500 miles from home. I'm not gonna ride 500 miles at night with my SO behind me after a full day at work so we trailer and take turns at the wheel.
Other times we ride. It depends.

i have towed a few bikes that didnt run..
if i was going somewhere alone, and didn't need to haul much, i always ride. if i wanted to take my bike on vacation with the whole family, i would trailer it.

Depends where and with whom. Have a friend that is handicapped and can't ride long distance like he used to so if he and his better half are going with us and it's a 400-500 miler or better then we throw the scoots on the trailer luggage in the truck and wives in the bed and off we go
After 45 years of riding I have paid my dues in the saddle and like Frenchbiker said above I could give less than a damn about what anybody thinks or says, it's their opinion and as long as they keep it to themselves as they should then it's all good. Last time I checked ain't none of them ever cut me a check for the scoot payment nor the mortgage so they got no say in the matter!!

Sure, I'd trailer mine if I ever needed to. Why do you worry so much about what other people think?? F*ck 'em!

I trailer my bike all the time in my enclosed trailer. Reason being, I have a weekend cabin I go to all the time and am bringing other stuff with me like clothes, cooler of food, supplies ect. Also, my cabin is up a mile and a half dirt road on top of a mountain. I drop the trailer at a friend's house in the valley and since it is enclosed, it is my portable garage for the weekend. The bike sleeps in the trailer, out of the rain and does not have to go up the dusty or muddy dirt road this way. All I have to do is drive 3 miles to his house to get my bike so we can ride. That trailer makes my life so much better!!!

Only if its broken down will I trailer it, I did trailer my sporty to the beach with the family before. Now the wife drives the truck, I ride the bike and the kids take turns riding with me, well except my 19 yo son, is not cool for two guys to be on a bike he says, lol.
