I think it is good to ask. I hope it works out. Asking, someone could tell you what the problem is or it is normal.

Update, I am just a worrier.... Can't help it, although it may have been fine there was too much damage for me. Spoke with a salesman and traded in a bike in a million pcs and bought a new 2012, leftover, and got a great deal money wise and a upgrade from a 96 to a 103. Because the bike was all apart, I got back all of my add-ons. For me, I think the peace of mind is worth it. I decided that having a new bike with four years warrantee is the way to go. Thanks for all the replies.
