'11 FLTRX 96" Andrews 48h cams, SERT, Rinehart Extreme duals. I had the bike tuned in April and I'm happy but....I bought a used RB racing Pro stock spyder. I want to try out the pipe but was wondering if I have to have it retuned? I know I should, and I'm going to. But can the tune wait a few months? Will it be that far off changing from duals to a 2 into 1?

The change will be so minor it would be undetectable....unless it starts running different I would not worry about it.

 

Changing the exhaust without tuning it might cause some backfire issues in some cases. The sooner you get it tuned the sooner your bike will be running at peak performance.

 

I just changed to a two in to one and it is now lean and decel poping were it didnt before. A little better bottem end torque, probly will get better as I tune it in. I didnt expect to have to change the tune much but its no were near as smooth as it was. Back to work for me!

 

What pipe did you have and what did you put on?

 

You can roll the dice if you want to, but a custom tune for a true dual system will not work the same with a different 2:1 system. Seen it up close and personal. Just wait a couple weeks and get it tuned when you swap the exhaust.

 

I had a factory head pipe 2009 with cvo mufflers that had strait through flow baffels. went to a dragos dragula 2 into 1.

 

Definetely need to retune

 

Yes the tables could be very different.
