I was never a big fan of lid covers, but have scuffed enough of mine over they years that I decided before I take my month long trip out west on a brand new black bike, they might be a good idea, at least for the trip.. Found these, custom made design and had a set made up to match the bike. I don't know if I'll ever take them off.
What material are they lined with to protect the clearcoat? My buddy had a set and after 2k mile trip took them off and more scuffed than he was hoping to prevent.

That has always been a concern of mine as well. I can't say what the lining is, but it doesn't feel like it could scuff as long as there's no dirt under them. They're also fit real well (tight) which was always a concern in looking at them before. I'll let ya know in September after I put 6 or 7000 miles on.
.......... how do they mount ? could you photo one of the bags open & show attachment method ?
....... i'm a big fan of bag-lid bras & those look really good.... flames w/o having to paint anything.
How do they seal ? Any interference with being "water tight" ?
Thanks !
Dunno... Yet...

Velcro... The good stuff. Already cut and attached so you don't mess up where to put it.
Check it out...
Those are going to collect dust in the fleece and scratch the crap out of your clear coat. Just like car bras do. I would save them until the lids are effed up and then use them to hide the damage.
