I went back to stock header with 4" Jackpots and am planning to go back to a true dual.....just can't beat that sound!
Agreed, I have True Duals on my Ultra, but have the EPA compliant mufflers and it is a great combo. On the other hand I have a much louder Vance and Hines system on my Night Train and it is no fun at all after about 100 miles without ear plugs.

Touche sweetbaboo!!! But I can't believe a relative badass such as yourself wears earplugs... Sheesh.
What was that? Speak up, I can't hear you.

Those MGS True Duals have 3 different size baffles, I hope you chose the quietest.
Yea, ya gotta take care of them big ears, this tinnitus **** is a nightmare at times.

Texas Fat Boy, as usual, has this one nailed. Assuming you're talking about the entire new MGS Performance Duals exhaust system including their 4" muffs, it'll all be in the baffles you chose.

True Duals with reasonably mellow slip-ons work well on long trip. My Crushers are not at all loud at cruising speeds. They do come on when I crank on the throttle. Quieter pipes maybe a produce of age. When I was younger loud was better.....now not so much.

Its not the true duels that makes it too loud its the slips you put on the end of them right? So if you were to put some Jackpots on them they should sound perfect.

I have V&H true duals on my 2008 FLHRC . They are loud but not to loud .

But out on the highway i PROTECT my Hearing with ear plugs, Alpine classics . They reduce loud noise.,like from wind but let you hear a normal conversation or music .
I got mine at Amazon . I bought two pairs one for me one pair for GF and got the super saver free shipping.

Rinehart true duals on mine and the volume is fine. Hard to get that right sound and still be able to hear everything normally like your radio but the true duals are nice and rumbly and you do hear them with the radio but can't have everything. Just have to turn up the radio a little more. But I really like them.

No, it's me too.. I think I'm going the same route you are with my RG.
V&H Power dual header, the Naked air filter and a Power commander.. Hope to pick up a little power, COOL IT DOWN SOME, and keep it quiet doing it. I also happen to loike the looks of the stock pipes on the RG.

Besides my ol WG is getting Big Radius on it to make it sound better when I'm bar hoppin with ear plugs!
