Just got back from a week of wondering around Washington State.
Wife and I decided to jump on the bike last Monday and just take off for the week. No idea where we were going to go, just wanted to get gone.
So we jumped onto the bike with two pairs of clothes ea and tent, some snack foods, sleeping bag and jackets.
We started off going from S.E. Washington up to Vashon Island and spending two nights up there.
Next headed south to Mossyrock S.P for a night.
Then to Mt. St. Helens Observatory and headed back down to Seaquest S.P. for the night.
Woke up soaking wet. major rain fall and had to dry all our stuff as best we could in the bathrooms using those electrical hand dryers.
Checking out the weather reports, we decided to skip the areas that were under flash flood warnings, or thunderstorm warning areas and head towards Mt. Rainer N.P.
Spent Friday and Saturday night at La Wis Wis C.G. and than headed back home late yesterday.
550 pictures + 825 miles + 5 days awesome weather = Great Time

As this is just the second summer with a touring bike, I've been doing several "new" rides around our state, and the scenery is just incredible. Since I live right in the middle of the state, I can do almost every ride as a day trip (sometimes they're LONG days!) so I just wait for a day where the weather will cooperate.
I've just scratched the surface; I have many roads to explore!

A few years ago we did the North Cascade Loop. Soon, maybe next year Wife and I will do the complete Cascade loop. Wife wants to explore the abandoned School in Concrete Wa.
Here in two weeks we will be heading to Klamath Falls Or for a week and cruise around central Or and Northern Cali.
