My 2010 Ultra is at 36 psi solo, 40 psi with my GF or gear. I'm 200lbs, I have no idea what she weighs and I'm not asking.

It rides fine with no bottoming out with these settings.

I am about 185 and ride mostly alone. Wife is about 130. I run my shocks at 35 psi in case I will be riding 2-up. Never bottom out.

I run 40# unless we are on a trip and loaded with luggage I go to 50#. I tried lower pressures when riding solo and found that the pressures would leak down, so I just leave at 40#.

Older bikes ran 30# max psi. new ones max @ 50# psi. (not sure exactly what year it changed 08-09?) but on my 2012 limited I run the full 50#s I'm 210lb. and wife is 125lb. but I keep it at 50 all the time and it's not to hard even when solo.........later........mark

Thanks for all the coments guys. I was afraid of going too high with the psi but after reading all this I know I've got a ways before that's an issue...

Me: 225lbs. Regardless if the wife is on-board or not, I run with my shocks set at 40 psi; I like a stiff ride. My dealership has an excellent service department and they begged me not to run right at 50 psi even though the manual says you can. They've seen too many seals blown on the new bikes set at 50 psi when they were fully loaded down (running heavy) and hit a big enough bump; running at 40-45 psi provides plenty of cushion/give for the system.
